QuarkChain (QKC)
A Flexible, Scalable, And User-Oriented Blockchain Infrastructure.
Quarkchain is a blockchain infrastructure using Sharding technology to divide the network into sub-groups (shards). As a result, transactions do not require global settlement, but a local shard-level consensus.
Different sub-groups, or shards, are connected by a root chain. The root chain facilitates the communication (data, token, etc.) between shards, and oversees the state of all shards.
The root chain runs a Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus algorithm. Shards use a root-chain-first-Proof-of-Work algorithm, in which if a fork occurs, the chain with the longest root chain record will survive.
The QKC token is used to pay for gas fees for simple transactions and smart-contract executions, as well as a store of value, and medium of exchange.
