- Community-driven, it offers private transactions with stealth addresses, Tor, and built-in VPN support directly into its Samourai Wallet. Groestlcoin also supports AES-256 encryption. Its development works in 3-month cycle with new features added periodically.
- Groestlcoin offers low fee for transactions, with less than 1/10,000th of a GRS for simple transfer between two addresses. It also supports the Lightning network in its mainnet, being the first cryptocurrency to do so. In addition, it has incorporated Segregated Witness (SegWit) since January 2017.
